    Job Description

    Under the responsibility of the Environment Supervisor, the Lead Environment works primarily with our Lead Modeling Set and Lead Surfacing Set, collaborating closely as well with the Look Dev, DMP and Lighting departments during production.   The Lead is responsible for the quality and compliance of the scenes delivered for the Environment departmentas well as ensuring that the artistic vision of the project is respected and well represented. Other main responsibilities also include managing and training the team on the technical and technological aspects related to the Mikros Animation pipeline.  

    Responsabilities

    • Participate and ensure the fluidity of information exchange between the set modeling, set surfacing and Matte painting departments. 
    • Determine effective technical solutions tailored toward department and any possible production constraints. 
    • Work closely with the production team and supervisor to ensure the delivery of the scenes. 
    • Ensure the proper assembly of the work of the artists working on the sets, as well as the realization of more global tasks (scattering, vegetation, etc...)

    Job Description

    Under the direction of the LineProducer and the Shot Production Manager, the Production Manager Animation holds a key position in production. Working on the daily management of the Animation, Fix Animation and CFX departments' activities. While also ensuring that deadlines are being respected,being responsible for the management of inventory, as well as the quality of the deliverables and toensure that the objectives defined by production are achieved.

    Responsabilities

    •  Develop and maintain the production schedule
    •  Set up and supervise internal as well as external meetings for the department  
    • Participate in the recruitment process of animation teams, animation fix and CFX. As well asestablish the team needs in terms of crewing with the production and HR

    Job Description

    The FX Supervisor guarantees the proper execution of special effects. He collaborates mainly and closely with the VFX Supervisor and the CG Supervisor, but also with the Director if the project requires it. From the beginning of the project, he participates in the analysis of the scenario in order to submit different artistic proposals and technical solutions. During the production, he supervises the FX artists, and will have participated in their recruitment.

    Responsabilities

    • Supervise the Effects team by giving aesthetic, methodological and technical advice 
    • Ensure the effects  respect time and budget constraints, as well quality levels and standards requested by the VFX supervisor ,CG Supervisor

    Job Description

    In charge of a team of 6-8 Animators, the Lead Animation Extra guarantees the proper execution of shots that would include elements of Extra Animation (ex: character animations with a specific secondary action, not procedurally managed). The Lead’s team also help provide the crowd team with cycles and action elements that at “procedurally” managed by the crowd team.  Thusthey collaborate closely with the Crowd team and Supervisor, as well as with the Animation Director and the various "MainAnim" Leads. All their work is closely monitored by the Tech Anim Supervisor who ensures and optimizes the manufacturing processes, as well as by the CG Supervisor who ensures that the expectations set by the Animation Director are well targeted.  In addition to the artistic and technical responsibilities, the Animation Lead assists in the recruitment of their team and participates in interviewing them.

    Job description

    The TD Image contributes to the final look of the image. He works with teams of the Surfacing, Lighting and Compositing departments. He collaborates as much with the artists as with the supervisors of these departments, in order to optimize and maintain the tools used daily, and even to create new ones when necessary. The TD Image is part of the Pipeline team and as in all teamwork, he may be required to assist his teammates on other tasks than those expected of his position. He is also in contact with the Softwares team and participates in the good communication and collaboration between these 2 teams.

      In the context of the development of its animation projects, Mikros Animation Paris and Montreal are looking for a Production Manager.   Reporting to the Head of Production, the Production Manager has an essential role in production.   He/She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the production activities. He/She guarantees the respect of the schedules, the quality of the deliverables to reach the objectives defined by the production.   He/She works closely with the Head of Production, Producer, CG Supervisor and Departments Supervisors to manage changes in planning.  

    Responsibilities

     
    • Assist the Head of Production in the development of production strategy.
    • Maintain overall production schedule and manage departmental quotas.
    • Make recommendations for improvements to production workflow, particularly with-respect-to scheduling, flow of information and resource management.

    Overview

      In the context of the development of its animation projects, Mikros Animation Paris and Montreal are looking for a CG Supervisor.   The CG Supervisor, in collaboration with the Director & Producer (as well as with the Art, Lookdev, Asset Creation/Completion and other Production Departments), develops the technical approach needed to achieve the desired Look and behavior of the assets in a Fully Computer Animated Feature Film.

    Responsibilities

     
    • Identify, define, prioritize, and implement a specific creative workflow process which will enhance the productions creative tools.
    • Create, develop, and build consensus between the Technology, Artists, and Production Management department to assist the Director(s) in realizing their vision(s).

      In the context of the development of its animation projects, Mikros Animation Paris and Montreal are looking for a Line Producer.   The Line Producer is a key member of the production team.   He/She manages the production budget, hires and manages key members of the team, while negotiating with the HR, agreements with the artists.   He/She works closely with the Directors, Executive Producer, Artistic Director, CG Supervisor and Heads of Department to manage changes in planning and budget along the way.   During production, he/she is ultimately responsible for the smooth running of the activities and ensures the respect of deliverables, deadlines and costs.   The Line Producer reports to the Head of production of Mikros Animation and directly supervises a team of production managers and coordinators in charge of the manufacturing departments.  

    Responsabilities

     
    • Provide and adapt frequently a detailed project delivery plan to the executive producer and supervisors
    • Provide weekly and monthly progress reports on the outstanding amount and the balance to be produced
    • Plan studio resources to create an effective approach to CG work
    • Build and operate in cooperation with the relevant head of departments a production strategy to guarantee delivery and quality (quota plan / approval charts and reports / …).
    • Ensure that the team understands the objectives and delivery dates of the sequences, research and development projects, etc.
    • Work closely with supervisors to ensure the work schedule is on track and meet quality standards.
     

    Competencies

     
    • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as project manager in CG Animation or VFX.
    • Experience as a producer within a production-oriented environment.
    • Experience in project management with Shotgun software or similar is considered as a great asset.
    • Good understanding of CG processes.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Experience in team management, negotiation and budget management.
    • Experience on an animated feature film is a strong asset
    • A good knowledge of Excel and project management software are valuable for this position
